This Privacy Policy explains how Business Card Generator (the "Site," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit or use the Site. We built the Site so that the actual business card / personal card details you type in are processed entirely in your own browser — but like most websites, we and our third-party partners (Google Analytics and Google AdSense) may still collect some technical data about your visit. This policy explains what that means.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two broad ways: (1) information you actively type into the card-design form, which stays in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers, and (2) limited technical/usage data collected automatically by Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described below.
Personal Information
The Site's card-design form asks for details such as your name, designation, company, mobile number, email, website, and address, and lets you upload a logo, photo, or background image. None of this information is sent to, or stored on, any server operated by us. It exists only in your browser's memory for as long as the page stays open, and is used solely to render your live card preview and to generate the PNG/PDF file you choose to download. Refreshing or closing the page clears it completely.
Automatically Collected Data
When you visit the Site, our analytics and advertising partners (see below) may automatically collect certain data, such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device type, browser type and version, pages viewed, time spent on the Site, referring website, and general usage patterns.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device to help a website function or to collect usage information. The Site itself does not set functional cookies for its core card-design feature (it needs none — everything runs client-side). However, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, where enabled, may set their own cookies as described in the sections below. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; see Consent for details and for managing your preferences on this Site specifically.
Device Information
Google Analytics and Google AdSense may collect general device information such as device type, operating system, and screen resolution, to help us understand how the Site is used and to serve appropriately formatted advertisements.
Browser Information
Similarly, browser type, version, and language settings may be collected automatically by these third-party services for analytics and ad-serving purposes.
Log Files
Our hosting provider and/or content delivery network may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps) as part of normal web server operations. This data is used only for security, diagnostics, and aggregate usage statistics.
Google Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors use the Site (e.g. which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and general traffic trends). Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. Data collected is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
The Site may use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this Site or other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve relevant ads to you. Learn more at Google's "How Google uses cookies in advertising" page.
Advertising Cookies
Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense and its partner networks help determine which ads you see and how often, and may be used to measure ad performance and prevent the same ad from being shown to you repeatedly.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics help us measure aggregate website performance — such as how many people visit, which pages are most popular, and how visitors navigate the Site — without identifying you personally.
Personalized Advertising
Where you have given consent (see Consent), Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show you personalized ads based on your browsing activity across websites. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time at Google Ads Settings.
Non-Personalized Advertising
If you do not consent to personalized advertising, non-personalized ads may still be shown. Non-personalized ads are based on limited contextual information (such as the content of the current page and your approximate, coarse location) rather than your browsing history.
Third-Party Services
Besides Google Analytics and Google AdSense, the Site loads a small number of third-party libraries from public content delivery networks (CDNs) to provide its features — specifically for PDF export, image capture, QR code generation, and web fonts. These providers may log basic technical/request data (such as IP address) when your browser fetches these files, under their own respective privacy policies.
Embedded Content
The Site does not currently embed content from external platforms (such as videos or social media widgets). If this changes, this section will be updated to disclose the embedded provider and any related data collection.
Data Retention
Because your card details and uploaded images are never transmitted to or stored on our servers, we retain none of that information. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to the retention settings configured in our Google Analytics account, which follows Google's standard data retention practices.
User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data collected about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing (such as personalized advertising). See the GDPR and CCPA sections below, and visit Consent to manage your preferences.
GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. We rely on your consent (managed via Consent and Google Consent Mode v2) as the legal basis for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.
CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined by the CCPA), which may include certain uses of advertising cookies. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us so we can address it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the Site and its infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because your card data is processed only in your browser and never transmitted to our servers, the primary security consideration is the device and browser you use.
International Users
The Site may be accessed from countries other than the one in which our servers or Google's servers are located. By using the Site, you understand that your information (to the extent collected by Google Analytics/AdSense) may be processed in the United States or other countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
